Press and media information
PuppyGenes turns a saliva swab into a plain-language report about your dog's estimated ancestry and genetic characteristics, with a snapshot of their oral bacterial community. It includes breed ancestry, coat colour and physical appearance predictions, breed-informed temperament and adult-size estimates, and a genetic diversity comparison. Results show confidence and limitations, and some measurements may be unavailable.

What the report includes
- Breed ancestry: An estimated breed mix shown as percentages, including any ancestry that could not be resolved.
- Coat colour: Predicted colour, pattern and markings where the sample supports them, with confidence shown clearly.
- Physical appearance: Predictions for coat and body features such as coat length, curl, shedding, muzzle and tail, each with its own confidence.
- Temperament and size predictions: Breed-informed tendencies and an estimated adult height and weight: useful context, not a promise.
- Genetic diversity: An inbreeding estimate compared with the lab's reference panel of dogs, in plain language.
- Oral microbiome: A snapshot of the bacteria measured in the saliva sample, compared with a reference group. Context, not a diagnosis.
The report does not include genetic disease or health screening. Genie, our AI helper, answers questions about your dog's published report in plain language.
